Maurice Sullivan, a carpenter by trade, launches the company in Arnprior with five employees.
Sullivan wins contract to rebuild Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
Despite tough economic times, Sullivan remains operational, providing vital employment and construction services in the Ottawa Valley.
Many construction firms close as projects, and profits, dwindle. Sullivan remains in operation, supporting the war effort on construction projects for the army, navy and air force.
Sullivan opens permanent office in Kingston, Ontario and begins long-standing relationships with Queen's University and other local clients.
With Arnprior facing difficult economic times, the Sullivan brothers purchase land and create the Sullivan Industrial Park. Today the site employs more than 600 workers.

Sullivan purchases a local lumberyard that would later become Arnprior Builders' Supplies and the RONA Home Centre.

Sullivan purchases and restores Kenwood Mills, saving the local landmark from demolition.
