Committed to LEED
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is a certification program and internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance, environmentally sustainable buildings. Administered by the Canadian Green Building Council (CGBC), LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health:
- sustainable site development
- water efficiency
- energy efficiency
- materials selection
- indoor environmental quality
Building forward Sullivan has thrived for nearly a century partly because we honour not only the traditions of our craft, but also the innovations that serve to strengthen those traditions over time. That's why we are actively committed to sustainable building design and green construction practices. Our team includes professionals who are fully LEED-accredited by the CGBC. Their job is to help clients achieve LEED certification through sensible job-site practices:
- Abide by local environmental regulations.
- Reduce waste and encourage resource efficiency on job-sites.
- Limit and recycle construction and demolition debris.
- Control indoor air pollutants.
- Conserve natural resources.
- Control and offset the effects of emissions due to construction activities.
- Use local building materials whenever possible.
