Summary

Construction Management Delivery of a new 60,000 sq. ft multi-purpose LEED™ Gold building at the Laurentian University, located in North Bay, Ontario.

 

The state-of-the-art facilities houses the laboratories such as a material analysis lab, environmental and soil mechanics lab, prototype development and machine shop, integrated software lab, hydraulics and fluid mechanics lab, lecture theatre and permanent home for the Bharti School of Engineering.

 

The expansion of the campus gives students the needed space and access to the Jim Fielding Innovation and Commercialization Space where they expand their innovative ideas, develop new products and deliver them to the marketplace.

 

The Norine E. Perdue Central Analytical Facility allows faculty and graduate students to train on specialized instruments and expand their horizons with new research collaborations.

 

The Research Centres Collaboration Hub 10,000 sq. ft which brings together innovative minds across the Laurentian community and the ability to work together to test new research.

 

The project was completed on time and on budget and was the first Federal Government Strategic Innovation Funding project in Canada to be completed.
