Summary

M. Sullivan executed the Beachburg Solar Project on behalf of Sunquake Energy acting as the EPC Contractor for the balance of system supply. We provided all Civil, Structural and Electrical design disciplines as required to complete the installation.

We were directly responsible for the design, supply and installation of 1560 foundation posts needed to support the PV arrays.

We provided the design, supply and installation of the AC systems, DC systems and 44 kV Grid Interconnection Substation. We provided all civil craft labour and equipment required for preparing the site, tree removal, building the entrance road, concrete structural pads, installing the fencing and excavating all needed cable trenches.

The project utilized Advanced Energy Solaron Inverters configured with Remote PV Tie components. The project was the first AEI installation in Ontario using the Remote PV tie which required significant liaison with the Electrical Safety Authority in order for the equipment to be accepted for use by the ESA.

The project achieved a successful Hydro One Grid Interconnection in December 2011.
